Welcome to the Lawless Time and Twin Suns 2026 update! This is a big update that overhauls a significant chunk of the cube.
Leader Changes
⟡ Bossk, Hunting His Prey, ⟡ Hera Syndulla, Spectre Two, and ⟡ Admiral Piett, Commanding the Armada were cut due to not having enough cards to activate their core abilities making them fringe leaders in the cube and nearly always worse than a more all-around leader. ⟡ Cassian Andor, Climb! and ⟡ Asajj Ventress, Unparalleled Adversary whilst less specific both felt like leaders that were on the fringe of the leader pool in terms of power level.
Composition
The first concern of this set of changes was re-balancing the aspect pairs. Over time the aspects has gotten out of alignment. Some aspect pairs were at 28 cards, others were as low as 24. Some single aspect colours were at 33 (including doubles) and others were as low as 28. In this updated, I wanted to commit to getting each aspect to have the same level of support - which made some hard choices particularly in the more contested colours like Vigilance/Villainy. The cube now sits at 25 cards for each "traditional" colour pair, 30 cards for the colour mono-aspects, 15 cards for Heroism/Villainy, and one card for each of the new "dual aspect" cards. The rest of the 360 is made up with neutral cards.
Cuts
I was also committed to making sure every colour had a good set of turn one plays. A number of early plays have been cut that were under-rate (like ⟡ Poggle the Lesser, Archduke of the Stalgasin Hive and Senate Warden) and now every turn one unit is truly playable, even if some of there are a little dull (like Liberated Wookiee).
Another big shift is the removal of the rare bases (Security Complex, Energy Conversion Lab, Tarkintown, and Jedha City) this cycle of bases is iconic, but unequally playable, and when they were played they would often warp games. Additionally, bases don't actually go into a 30 card deck so people drafting them have one less card to work with at deck building. I decided that I'd prefer to dedicate these slots to cards that support people building a more consistent 30.
There were a few notable themes in the remaining cuts. Big slow bombs like ⟡ The Zillo Beast, Awoken From The Depths, ⟡ Profundity, We Fight!, and Battle Droid Legion were cut due to rarely seeing play. Below rate bounty synergy cards like Spare the Target, Outlaw Corona, and Clone Deserter were cut alongside ⟡ Bossk, Hunting His Prey. A number of cards fell into the trap of being good cards, but too niche to warrant a cube slot. Cards like ⟡ Jabba the Hutt, Cunning Daimyo, ⟡ Oggdo Bogdo, Bogano Brute, ⟡ Garindan, Information Broker, and You're My Only Hope just didn't synergise often enough without a specific leader or a very specific build. A number of cards were simply too understatted to keep in the cube: ⟡ Admiral Piett, Captain of the Executor, Alliance Dispatcher, and Incinerator Trooper all have relevant abilities but simply don't stick due to their stat lines. Finally, double aspect cards (like ⟡ Bo-Katan Kryze, Fighting For Mandalore) that I wouldn't feel comfortable paying the aspect penalty for for were cut. I really wanted to support the double Cunning archetype but supporting it whilst balancing the rest of the cube wasn't proving possible.
I want to end this section by acknowledging a few cards that are cuts I wish I didn't have to make, and that potentially might find their way back into the cube if I can find room. ⟡ Darth Maul, Revenge At Last, ⟡ Enfys Nest, Champion of Justice, and ⟡ Count Dooku, Fallen Jedi are all great thematic and fun cards but are in contested colours and there are only so many top-end cards that can warrant inclusion.
Additions
LAW has brought a lot of fun cards! ⟡ Latts Razzi, Deadly Whipmaster is perhaps the best turn 2 play in the game, ⟡ Honnah, OINK! SQUEE! is a fantastic mid-game stat stick, ⟡ Max Rebo, Encore! is a game-accelerator, ⟡ Krrsantan, Hit and Run is a game-ender, and both ⟡ Benthic “Two Tubes”, The War Has Just Begun and Toydarian Technician are solid early units. I consider this an experiment, these slots are inherently less draftable than other cards in the cube but their higher power level may make them worthy of long term inclusion.
The quality of removal has gone up significantly with new tools like: Haymaker, Protect the Pod, Lost and Forgotten, and Force Lightning joining the cube.
The impact of units all across the curve is also looking much healthier. Cards like Storm Raider, ⟡ Vice Admiral Rampart, On Schedule, ⟡ Ziton Moj, Black Sun Bully, ⟡ Cinta Kaz, Stone Cold and Fearless, ⟡ Arena Reek, Lumbering Beast, and ⟡ Lieutenant Gorn, I Deserve Worse are great examples of above rate units filling slots that were previously a little anemic.
Twin Suns 2026 Cards
There are three cards from the TS26 set that you might not have access to. If not, here are my suggested replacements
Add initial long list of cards for my LAW update
Updated the overview to be clearer about what (if anything) is different!
Updated to include the majority of SEC cards that I think are worth the cut.
I'd like to have made room for a few more cards and I may later return to try and find room for them.
I departed from Yodakiller's original cube a little earlier than the version he initially posted on Kyber Cube. These changes revert this cube to a Yodakiller base cube from LOF, with a few of his SEC changes.
There is one extra bonus swap of switching Salacious Crumb, Obnoxious Pet (SHD) to Poggle The Lesser, Archduke of Stalgasin Hive (TWI). This is done purely because of the judge promo bling.
